The Wombat is a playable mascot in Crossy Road that was added in the Australian Update.
Appearance[]
The Wombat is a purple looking, bulky creature with paler paws and muzzle. In reality, the wombat is a burrow-plant eating Australian marsupial that resembles a small bear with short legs. Originally, it's coat would've been more of a reddish color (see Gallery below), but this was changed for a few unknown reasons. The Wombat also shows striking resemblance to the Drop Bear.
Characteristics[]
When playing as the Wombat, the grasslands are replaced by the desert. While playing as the Wombat you can hear sounds like sticks being stepped on. The Drop Bear also appears as an enemy. Simultaneously, the rivers contain crocodiles that can kill if the player steps on their heads. Notably, the Wombat, along with all the Australian animals, can be used to unlock the Drop Bear.

The Wombat can be obtained for 100 coins on the Prize Machine or purchased for $0.99/£0.67.
